The Phone Side of Business

What "phone business" queries actually need — an inbound business number on a published plan. The published path, costs and boundaries in one page.

"Phone business" reads two ways — being in business by phone, or the phone side of a business — and both land on the same published need: an inbound number customers can dial, on terms the business can predict. That is what this site sells: 1300 numbers, 1800 numbers and Phonewords on plans from $10 per month. This page covers the setup, the costs, and what the phone side does not include.

The published setup, in three moves

  1. Pick the arrangement: 1300 shares the call cost with callers (they pay a local call rate, you pay the remainder); 1800 is free for callers in the stated Australian 1800-number context and you pay everything; a Phoneword adds a word to either base.
  2. Search the listing: the Find a Number search lists available 1300 and 1800 Phonewords by word or last six digits. Results are a snapshot; the team confirms the exact number before connection.
  3. Sign up with the answering point: the flow asks for the number the service will connect to — your line or system takes the call from there.

What the phone side costs

Published 1300 and 1800 plans sit at $10, $15, $39, $79 and $99 per month, each with its own call-rate table on the pricing page — fixed line and mobile rates differ per plan, and Cap plans list included minute allowances. Word numbers start from $40 per month. Three call-handling add-ons are published: Call Tracking Numbers ($5/month), an IVR Keypress Menu ($35/month) and a Postcode Prompter ($250/month), addable at sign-up or later from the online console.

What the phone side does not include

  • Hardware and systems: no handset, PBX or device claims are published — the answering point is yours to provide.
  • Staffed answering: calls connect to your answering point; an answering service is not a published product.
  • Timing promises: no activation timeframe is published on the current pages — confirm with the team when timing matters.

Service terms are governed by the terms and conditions.

Phone business questions

What does the phone side of a business need from here?

An inbound number on a published plan, connected to your answering point. Everything on the far side of that connection is your existing setup.

Can I run the whole phone operation through this?

No — the published products are the number and three call-handling add-ons. Hardware, staffing and systems sit outside them, and the pages make no claims there.

What will it cost per month?

Plans start at $10 per month for 1300 and 1800 numbers, plus per-plan call rates; word numbers start from $40. Full tables are on the pricing page.

How quickly is the number working?

No activation timeframe is published on the current pages. Ask the team for current timing before planning around a date.
