Buy Numbers Online Cost
Published costs for buying numbers online — 1300 and 1800 plans from $10 per month, Phonewords from $40, and add-ons, all ex GST with rates on pricing.
The cost of buying a number online is published, tier by tier, on the pricing page. This page restates those published prices without adding to them — no estimates, no calculated bundles. Every figure below is ex GST, and the pricing page remains the governing source.
The published monthly plans
1300 and 1800 numbers use the same published plan tiers, all month-to-month with no lock-in. Call rates are per minute, billed per second; each tier's per-minute rates are tabled on the pricing page alongside these inclusions:
- Prepaid — $10 per month: includes $5 call credit, prepaid only.
- Light — $15 per month: includes $5 call credit.
- Cap39 — $39 per month: includes 250 Fixed Line minutes plus 100 Mobile minutes. With Cap plans, the monthly fee is the only charge until the included value is used, then per-minute rates apply.
- Fixed Cap39 — $39 per month: includes 500 Fixed Line minutes.
- Mobile Cap39 — $39 per month: includes 250 Mobile minutes.
- Cap79 — $79 per month: includes 750 Fixed Line minutes plus 300 Mobile minutes.
- High Volume — $99 per month: includes $99 call credit.
Both 1300 and 1800 products share these tier names and prices; the difference is the caller-cost structure, not the plan table.
What a Phoneword costs
Phonewords start from $40 per month, with the desirability and availability of the specific word affecting the price — so there is no single word price to quote. The published process confirms the exact number and price with you before connection. Phonewords are premium numbers: they carry a 12-month rolling contract and a $50 setup, subject to number selection and availability. Check candidate words on Find a Number, treating the results as a snapshot rather than a price promise.
What the add-ons cost
Three add-ons are published. Call Tracking Numbers, $5 per month, show which ads and campaigns drive calls. The IVR Keypress Menu, $35 per month, is an auto-attendant that routes callers by keypress. The Postcode Prompter, $250 per month, routes callers by the postcode they dial in from. Each can be added during sign-up or changed later from the online console.
Reading the published prices carefully
Three boundaries matter. First, all pricing is ex GST. Second, this page does not restate every per-minute call rate — the pricing page carries the full rate table for each plan, and those figures belong there rather than being copied or combined here. Third, the published prices are what the pricing page lists; billing, suspension and cancellation obligations sit in the terms and conditions, which govern how charges actually apply.
Cost questions
What is the cheapest plan?
The published entry point is the Prepaid plan at $10 per month, which includes $5 call credit and is prepaid only. The Light plan at $15 per month also includes $5 call credit without the prepaid-only condition.
How much does a specific word cost?
Phoneword pricing starts from $40 per month and varies with the desirability and availability of the word, so this page does not quote a figure for any particular word. The exact number and price are confirmed with you before connection.
Are there setup fees?
A $50 setup is published for premium numbers — Phonewords from $40 per month — subject to number selection and availability. Standard 1300 and 1800 plans are published at their monthly fee; the pricing page and terms and conditions govern all charges.
Do the prices include GST?
No. All published pricing is ex GST.
Is there a lock-in?
Standard 1300 and 1800 plans are month-to-month with no lock-in. Premium numbers — Phonewords from $40 per month — run on a 12-month rolling contract.
