How the Cap plans work
With Cap plans the monthly fee is the only charge until the included value is used, then the plan's per-minute rates apply. All call rates are per minute, calculated on a per-second basis. The included fixed line allowance covers calls from Australian fixed lines and the mobile allowance covers calls from mobiles, which is where the higher per-minute rates sit on every plan.
Pairing a plan with a Phoneword
The plan carries the calls; the number itself can be a standard 1300 number or a Phoneword. Phonewords start from $40 per month, priced on the desirability and availability of the word, plus a $50 one-off setup subject to number selection and availability. A Phoneword licence runs on a 12-month rolling contract. The 1300 number rates page walks through the per-minute detail, and Find a Number searches available 1300/1800 Phonewords.
Contract terms and tax
Standard 1300 plans are month-to-month with no lock-in. Premium numbers — Phonewords and Smart numbers, from $40 per month — run on a 12-month rolling contract with the $50 setup. All published pricing is ex GST. Plans are subject to the site's terms, and the pricing page carries the current authoritative tables.
