Business owner using a mobile phone at work

The published Phoneword features for Australian businesses are the word itself — a 13, 1300 or 1800 number that spells a word on a telephone keypad — plus three paid add-ons: Call Tracking Numbers, IVR Keypress Menu and Postcode Prompter. What each plan includes is set out on the pricing page; this page does not establish that other call-handling features are included with a plan.

Published add-on features

  • Call Tracking Numbers — $5 per month. Published purpose: see which ads and campaigns drive your calls.
  • IVR Keypress Menu — $35 per month. Published purpose: an auto-attendant menu that routes callers by keypress.
  • Postcode Prompter — $250 per month. Published purpose: route callers by the postcode they dial in from.

Add-ons can be added during sign-up or changed later from your online console. All pricing is ex GST.

What the word itself does

A Phoneword turns your number into a word, such as a business name, that callers read on the keypad. It can sit on a 13, 1300 or 1800 number, so the word can be paired with the caller-cost model that suits: a shared-cost 1300 number, or an 1800 number that is free for customers to call in the stated Australian 1800-number context.

The word is a presentation feature. A Phoneword does not come with a guarantee of more calls, better recall or higher sales.

What plans include

Published 1300 and 1800 plans are $10, $15, $39, $79 and $99 per month. Published inclusions are stated in minutes and call credit: the Cap39 plan includes 250 fixed line minutes and 100 mobile minutes per month, and the Prepaid and Light plans include $5 call credit. With Cap plans the monthly fee is the only charge until the included value is used, then per-minute rates apply. The pricing page holds the current inclusions and call-rate tables.

Phoneword pricing starts from $40 per month, with availability and desirability affecting the price; the contract and setup terms for premium numbers are on the pricing page.

Checking availability of a word

Features and pricing are separate from availability. Find a Number searches available 1300/1800 Phonewords; availability and the price of a specific word are not promised until confirmed.
