A business 1300 number costs from $10 per month on the published plans, which run $10, $15, $39, $79 and $99 per month, all ex GST. A 1300 number is a shared-cost number: callers pay a local call rate, and the business pays the per-minute rate that applies to its plan. Standard 1300 plans are month-to-month with no lock-in. Exact call rates are published on the pricing page — this page does not calculate or summarise them beyond what is published there.

The published 1300 plans

The published tiers, as listed on the pricing page:

  • $10 per month — Prepaid: includes $5 call credit. Prepaid only, so there is no overage.
  • $15 per month — Light: includes $5 call credit.
  • $39 per month — Cap39: includes 250 Fixed Line minutes plus 100 Mobile minutes. Also available as Fixed Cap39 (500 Fixed Line minutes) and Mobile Cap39 (250 Mobile minutes).
  • $79 per month — Cap79: includes 750 Fixed Line minutes plus 300 Mobile minutes.
  • $99 per month — High Volume: includes $99 call credit.

With Cap plans, the monthly fee is the only charge until the included value is used; after that, per-minute rates apply. All call rates are per minute, billed per second.

What the caller pays

On a 1300 number the caller pays a local call rate and the business pays the remainder — that is what makes it a shared-cost number. The per-minute rate the business pays depends on the plan and on the caller's device (fixed line or mobile), which is why the published rate table splits the two.

Contracts and setup

Standard 1300 plans are month-to-month with no lock-in. If you pair the 1300 number with a premium number such as a Phoneword, that premium component starts from $40 per month, carries a 12-month rolling contract and a $50 setup, subject to number selection and availability.

Add-ons that affect cost

Three add-ons are listed on the pricing page: Call Tracking Numbers at $5 per month (see which ads and campaigns drive calls), the IVR Keypress Menu at $35 per month (routes callers by keypress) and the Postcode Prompter at $250 per month (routes callers by the postcode they dial in from).

Where to confirm current rates

Plan fees are stable published figures, but the exact per-minute call rates for each plan should always be read from the current pricing tables. For a 1300 number in a business context generally, see business 1300 numbers. If you want a word rather than plain digits, search available 1300/1800 Phonewords — availability is not guaranteed for a specific word.

Business 1300 number cost questions

How much is a 1300 number per month?

Published 1300 plans are $10, $15, $39, $79 and $99 per month, ex GST. The differences are included call value and per-minute rates.

Do callers pay anything to ring a 1300 number?

Yes — a 1300 number is shared-cost, so the caller pays a local call rate and the business pays the per-minute rate on its plan. That is the difference from an 1800 number, where callers pay nothing in the stated Australian 1800-number context.

Is there a contract on a 1300 number?

Standard 1300 plans are month-to-month with no lock-in. Premium numbers such as Phonewords carry a 12-month rolling contract and a $50 setup, subject to number selection and availability.

Do the prices include GST?

No. All published pricing is ex GST.

What happens when the included minutes run out?

With Cap plans the monthly fee is the only charge until the included value is used; after that, the plan's per-minute rates apply, billed per second. The exact rates per plan are on the pricing page.
